Asoproa - Costa Rica - Coffee Beans

This extraordinary coffee is grown by ASOPROAAA, a group of passionate producers dedicated to cultivating their own coffee in a sustainable way.

In total, ASOPROAAA exports around 250 bags of coffee abroad. The organization manages about 20 hectares of land and employs six full-time workers.

This lot comes from a farm located at 1,650 meters above sea level in Santa María de Dota. Here, Solsiré, the daughter of Iván, cultivates her own microlots. She focuses on the unique characteristics of Red Catuai and Caturra, while experimenting with different processing methods.

Beyond coffee, ASOPROAAA maintains a social housing project for vulnerable individuals in collaboration with the Costa Rican government, providing housing solutions for people in urgent need. On the environmental side, the group also manages five hectares of protected forest, contributing to oxygen production, the preservation of water sources, and the offsetting of carbon emissions.

We love this coffee on espresso, but it brews very well for filter as well if you like full-bodied coffees.
